Developments Story

I began my project early December 2015, before I started school again. In the first couple of weeks I learned myself the basics of “Game Maker”, without creating anything substantial. When I could move my red square(Player Avatar) around and get it to open dialog boxes from my white triangle(NPC) I began on my undertale fan game.

At this point I wanted to create a game based on Dreemurr Reborn with Flowery telling the player what they did in their Undertale game. It would have 2 or 3 battles: Sans, Flowery and maybe Chara, and the start and outcome of the game would be based on their Undertale game. However Flowery Took a lot of my time and when I finally began the game propper, I had to start school. And with that my enthusiasm to program vanished.

Luckily for me my school had game development as a optional class, so I could work a little on my game each week. But my code was a mess at that point. Everything was hard coded and poorly optimized. So I had two options: Rework everything and maybe salvage what I made, or burn everything and make a other version. So I began on version 2.

This time I had learn a lot more, so my code is a lot more clean and more efficient. But I lost some of the motivation to make the Dreemurr Reborn fan game, it was around the time the “Chara Fan Animation” was in production.

So my focus switched to primary creating a fan game to create a framework for others to create fan games based on Undertale for them self. However I haven’t lost interest in a fan game based on Undertale Alternate Universes, I have a really good one in mind, but that’s far away in the future.
